cool piece of pottery
April 13th, 2008
Last Sunday as part of or trip to Ironwood Forest NM, we went to a place that has a tremendous number of pottery sherds from Hohokam time. I am absolutely enthralled by this type of stuff as I enjoy picturing what it may have been like to live there and to use these now broken pots for various things. As visited this site, I found this piece of pottery with a fabulous pattern on one side. While I am well aware of the “do not take anything” rule, it is obvious not everyone subscribes to that as here was evidence of past digging. I am glad that for the most part no one would know where to go to find this historic and important site.
